Ever wonder why two very different stars get together? They say that love is blind, and opposites attract. Those may be the reasons for the odd celeb couples mentioned in the list below.

1. Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy


Mary-Kate Olsen is a former child star who owes her fame to TV’s Full House. She’s one-half of the famous Olsen twins, and left her acting days behind to pursue a career in fashion design. Today, her empire is valued over $1 billion.

So it was quite surprising when paparazzi published photos of the 26 year old with the 46 year old brother of former French president Nicolas Sarkozy. Apparently, this is not just a passing fancy for Olsen. There have been rumors of a wedding and kids.

2. Ashley Olsen and Lance Armstrong


Seems like Ashley Olsen shares her sister’s love for older men. The 26 year old rose to stardom along with her sister and also went on to build a career in fashion design. Olsen had a brief encounter with Lance Armstrong shortly after he broke up with Sheryl Crow in 2006.

The 41 year old cyclist was stripped of all his titles won since August 1998 due to allegations of doping. He’s also a testicular cancer survivor. The NY Post was the first to report of the odd couple’s stay at the Gramercy Park Hotel. They did not pursue a serious relationship.

3. Julie Bowen and David Spade


David Spade is known mostly for his roles in Joe Dirt, Tommy Boy and Just Shoot Me. Julie Bowen plays Claire Dunphy on the hit show, Modern Family. Spade has quite a track record in the dating department. He’s been linked to Lara Flynn Boyle, Heather Locklear, Krista Allen, Teri Hatcher, Kristy Swanson, Gena Lee Nolin and many Playboy playmates.
